Best Beginner Affiliate Programs

Beginner affiliate programs are ideal if you are a new affiliate marketer with low or no traffic.

If you have a Blog, an email list, or an audience on Facebook, Instagram or on any social media platform and you have not monetized it then now is a good time to do so.

You are leaving thousands of dollars on the table by not monetizing your Blog with Affiliate Marketing links & Ads

It doesn’t matter if it’s a family blog, a pet blog, a travel blog or a marketing blog. It also doesn’t matter if your blog is one day old or 100 days old.

There’s a piece of the pie waiting for you so go claim it!

If you don’t sell products and services of your own on your site, then the best way to make money is by joining affiliate marketing programs and promoting other people’s products via your unique affiliate links

What Is An Affiliate Link?

When you apply to affiliate programs to partner with them and promote their products you will be given your own unique link. When your audience clicks on your link they will be lead back to you and any resulting purchase will be credited to you.

Some programs offer pay per click (PPC) so even if your audience doesn’t make a purchase, as long as they click on your link, you will be compensated.

Is that insane or what?

Do you see how you could make unlimited income with affiliate marketing?

Types Of Affiliate Links

PPC: Pay-per-click is an online advertising model that allows affiliates to be paid by advertisers each time a visitor clicks on their links.

CPC:  This metric stands for cost per click and it denotes how much an advertiser pays each time a user clicks on their ad.

CPA: Cost Per Action, is a type of affiliate marketing that establishes a partnership between an advertiser and an affiliate. In this model, the affiliate earns a commission when a user or customer completes a specific action due to the affiliate’s efforts. Actions vary such as providing their email address or signing up for a trial.

CPS: In affiliate marketing, Cost Per Sale is a performance-based pricing model that calculates the amount it costs a business to acquire a customer or generate a sale. This model is also referred to as pay per sale.

Cookie Duration

Cookie duration plays a crucial role in affiliate marketing, as it defines the period during which a customer can be tracked from the moment they click on an affiliate link to the moment they complete a purchase. The longer the cookie duration, the higher the chances that the affiliate will receive credit for the sale.

EPC

EPC stands for “earnings per click.” It’s a crucial metric for affiliate marketers as it indicates the average potential earnings each time your link is clicked.

How Affiliates Make Money

Not only do some prograns pay affiliates per each sale made with their unique link but they may also “pay per click” (PPC) or per lead. The affiliate could get paid if a company succeeds in getting a potential client’s email address, name and or phone number.

The records show that there are many bloggers who make six figures PER MONTH with affiliate marketing

There’s plenty of research available to prove it. Now don’t look at me because I’m not one of them… yet. However I have helpful tips for beginners to get started especially if you’ve been faced with rejection from Affiliate Programs in the past.

Let me say this, there are a plethora of affiliate marketing programs and Networks out there.

What’s The Difference?

An Affiliate Program

This is run by a single business.

An Affiliate Network

A network has multiple businesses that an affiliate can connect to. After signing up with a network, you would then have to apply to each program that you’re interested in separately.

Do You Need To Qualify?

Beginner Affiliate Programs Are Easy To Qualify For

Some programs have specific requirements for qualification particularly regarding the volume of traffic and they may require a huge following.

As a beginner, some affiliate programs are out of reach and this can be very frustrating.

Apply to programs that do NOT have minimum traffic requirements

Some programs require that you must have a website and there are programs that don’t have this requirement.

Regardless of what stage you are at in your blogging journey, I’ve put a few programs together below so you can get started ASAP to earn passive income WHILE YOU SLEEP,  especially if you are a beginner.

As always if you’re in a rush, just pin, follow, save and revisit or scan the Table Of Contents.

Warren Buffet  said that we should find a way to make money in our sleep or we’ll be working for the rest of our lives

First Things First:

Let’s Demystify Affiliate Marketing

Did you know that you’ve been doing it all your life without getting paid?

How many times have you referred an awesome makeup product that you’ve used, a movie you’ve seen, or recommended any product to your friends or your audience in casual conversation and they bought the product?

You got paid $0.00

You were just doing what came naturally to you. Well, ladies and gents you can get paid to make referrals if you have a platform on social media, a blog, a website, or an email list!!!

When you sign up for affiliate marketing programs, you’ll be given your very own personalized link upon acceptance. Then you’ll need to promote these products and services honestly like you have already been doing and display your unique links without spamming anyone. You can host your blog free on Blogger or self-host it on a paid platform.

Use this link to host your blog inexpensively on Bluehost.

Pay less than $3 per month.

Visualize & Materialize

According to motivational speaker, Mel Robbins, in order to achieve your goals you need to meditate.  It helps when you visualize your goals daily and it also helps to have written goals. You don’t need a lot of time to meditate. Just devote 30 seconds to a minute minimum daily to meditating and visualizing.

We all can gift ourselves a minute each day can’t we?

Let’s dig our heels in and explore some Beginner Affiliate Marketing Programs that are easy to qualify for.

5 Beginner Affiliate Programs

Clickbank

I have listed Clickbank first because they are an excellent beginner affiliate program. This was the first affiliate program I applied to and as a beginner, I qualified easily and instantly with no traffic at all. They have been around since 1998. Many years ago they only sold digital products such as ebooks. Things have changed and Clickbank now sells both digital and physical products. You will be amazed at their collection of products when you visit their marketplace.  The key is to pick a profitable niche and a product that is currently being heavily sold. This is denoted by the “gravity” score. Some profitable niches are dietary supplements, weight loss, dental health products as well as money and relationship products.  Any product that is reordered, you’ll have the opportunity to get recurring commissions which is an affiliate‘s dream.

To get your affiliate links for each product instantly, go to Clickbank.com and click on Affiliates.

As a side note, some seasoned affiliates run Facebook ads with a landing page to promote their links while targeting a specific audience or age group for that product.

Amazon Associates

Amazon Associates is one of the oldest affiliate programs out there and it’s second on my list of best beginner affiliate programs. It started in 1996. You might already be aware of the enormous amount and variety of products that Amazon sells. You name it, and the genius Jeff Bezos has you covered. Whether it’s supplements, food, clothing, furniture, linnen, workout equipment, appliances, electronics, and so much more including cloud storage space.

Do you know anyone who does NOT shop at Amazon?

I can honestly say that I have ordered products and received them on my doorstep IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS. Due to the wide range of products you should easily be able to find items in your niche to promote.  Gone are the days when all Amazon sold were books. Millions of people shop via Amazon right from the comfort of their… shall I say, “throne.”

Yes you can refer any Amazon product and receive a commission when a purchase is made via your link. The cool thing is, if someone shops for an item via your link and did not buy that item but purchased something else instead that is totally unrelated, you’ll still get a commission.

Anyone can be an Amazon Associate

Just go to:

www.amazon.com

Click on Affiliate at the bottom of the screen to apply.

Amira’s Affiliate Program

     at “aselfguru.com”

Are you blogging legally?

By law every blog needs to have a Terms and Conditions Agreement to be in compliance and operate legally. I’m sure you’ve seen them at the “footer” section of all blogs. To protect yourself and your blog be sure to also have a Privacy Policy and a Disclaimer.

     • Privacy policy

     • Terms And Conditions

     • Disclaimer

Obtain your legal disclosures.

Six figure blogger and Attorney Amira Irfan, knows all about crafting these disclosures the proper way to make your blog is legal and keep you out of trouble. She also offers an affiliate program of her very own.

Amira’s Affiliate Program

There are 6 exciting things about Attorney Amra’s affiliate program:

● ALL NEW BLOGS and course creators need disclosure agreements. Amira has the 3 main ones and much more… even ones you did NOT KNOW you needed.  If you sell your own courses, she has disclosures for you too.

● A brand new Blogger will qualify for her affiliate program without delay and with NO established traffic.

● She will allow you to promote her products even if you did not buy website disclosures from her.

● You will earn a whopping 40% commission as her affiliate. Amazon does NOT even come close to this payout.

● After you’ve signed up as an affiliate and written a blogpost promoting her products contact support@aselfguru.com and she will give your blog post exposure to her email list of 50,000. Is that insane or what?!!!

● You are allowed to use her promotional items too.

You can promote individual products by grabbing separate affiliate links for each product or you could get ONE Affiliate link to her legal store so any product your audience buys using your link will result in a commission to you.

Bluehost

Website Hosting

This is where many phenomenal 6 figure bloggers excel and earn passive income beyond their wildest expectations and you can too.  Bluehost is one of many domain registration and web hosting companies that provide affordable hosting for blogs. There is an ongoing special for $2.95 per month if you pay the yearly fee up front. If you’re on the fence about starting a blog, Bluehost website hosting can help you with a domain name and will host your blog inexpensively. Just like every new Blog needs disclosures to be legal, every new Blog needs website hosting unless you’re hosting on a free platform. There are limitations with free hosting platforms. I don’t recommend it because you won’t own your website. If Google were to shut down “Blogger” that would leave many website owners scrambling to retrieve their work and find hosting elsewhere. You own your content but not your website on Blogger.

Self hosting is best

Bluehost is best for beginners and it’s not expensive.

When you own your blog you’ll have your custom URL of choice and you can self host it where you’d like to such as with Bluehost or Siteground for example.

ShareASale

This is one of those networks that have a wide range of affiliate merchants. You will need to setup a ShareASale account and apply to each company separately that you’d like to be an affiliate for.  One such company is Tailwind for example. Tailwind is a scheduler for Pinterest pins. You can sign up for Tailwind’s free plan and schedule 5 pins free of cost per month on your Pinterest account.

Tailwind has a referral program and an affiliate program.

On Tailwind’s affiliate program, for every month that someone continues to pay for Tailwind, you will get a commission if they signed up using your link.

Whereas on the referral program, ghostwriter credits are given. Another program available under ShareASale is: Grammarly. Grammarly offers single tier commissions meaning you only earn on the sales you generate.

When you go to the ShareASale website, click on affiliate signup, fill out the application and you will be notified when approved.

More Beginner Affiliate Programs

The affiliate marketing programs above are suitable if you are a beginner. Getting approval for them should be easy.

Get started on your affiliate marketing journey today.

The programs below may not be as easy to get qualified for as a beginner but there’s no harm in trying

Google Adsense

I know you’ve seen ads on websites that you’ve visited.  You may have just recently researched a product on Amazon and now that you’re on Joe Schmo’s website your product is conveniently  (or annoyingly) popping up and following you around urging you to buy it. It can be difficult to get approval for ad networks as a new blogger because most of them require high traffic volume.

Google Adsense may accept new bloggers. Their pay rate is low and their payout amount is at $100. It could take a new blogger a while to reach $100 from ads.  That being said, you may want to switch to another company such as Mediavine once you have a steady stream of traffic to see some real ad revenues. Participation in Google adsense is free.

Apply for AdSense today https://adsense.google.com/start

   • Get Started

   ● Sign into your Google account

   ● Enter the URL of the site for ads

   ● Select your payment country

An AdSense account requires that you own your own content or blog, you must have a Google account and be 18 years of age or older.

Rakuten

This is a Japanese Affiliate company that acquired Linkshare in 2005. Like most of the other affiliate networks they are home to numerous brands.

Impact.com

This is the home of many brands as well.  Here you’ll find the likes of Adidas as well as AirBnB and so much more. If you need instant approval as a newbie, then you’re in the right place. Just check out their section called, BRANDS TO WORK WITH INSTANTLY.

CJ Affiliates

Formerly Commission Junction, this affiliate company has been around for a long time as well. They represent a wide range of companies including Walgreens, Staples, Sears, Verizon, Samsung and more. Beginners may not qualify immediately but should get through after about 6 months of blogging.

What If You’re Denied?

I say, “No problem. Next!”

Do not take rejection personally at all. I mentioned before that some programs want to examine your site to see if you have sufficient traffic before approval. So if you are denied it could be due to low traffic.

Don’t despair

Continue to build and optimize your site. Revisit that program later when your volume of traffic is higher. For now just say,  “Next” and move on to another. There are thousands of affiliate marketing programs out there.

According to Google there are nearly 10,000 Affiliate Marketing programs in existence.

So yaaay right! You only need a few good ones and then focus on marketing them as you build your audience.

For The Heavy Hitters

If you’re a beginner, but you already have a huge following and lots of traffic, go right ahead and apply for programs that beginners would not be accepted into due to low traffic. Here are a few ideas below:

  • Brevo (formerly Sendinblue)
  • Builderall
  • Kartra
  • Semrush
  • Canva
  • Media.net
  • Mediavine Ads
  • AdThrive (Raptive)

Important Points

● Keyword Research

Optimize your content with proper keyword research

● Disclose Affiliate Links

I mentioned earlier that I do have affiliate links in this blog article and if you make a purchase via one of my links, I will receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.

By law, when using affiliate links, you must disclose it

Please remember to make a similar disclosure whenever you have affiliate links in your email, social media or blog posts. You could use a plugin for your blog to accomplish this and automatically place your disclosure in every page so you won’t have to do it manually.  If this sound good to you try the plugin “Ad Inserter” and you’ll be able to place your affiliate disclosure at the top of every page in your blog automatically.  Take a peek at my blog posts and you’ll see it at the beginning of ALL posts. That’s the power of plugins.

Link Placement

Proper placement of your affiliate links is important. Jamming them haphazardly anywhere in your content or too frequently might be viewed as spamming your audience. You want to build up trust, add value, create a pleasant user experience and to solve a problem or pain point your audience has by recommending the products your links will point to. Disperse your affiliate links throughout your content without overdoing it.

Link Length

You can shorten your links with tools. My favorite way is to use the link feature in WordPress.

Link Creator In WordPress
WordPress Link Creator

You can add your links using any text you like. Your link, also called your anchor text, should be descriptive enough so that your audience knows where they are clicking to. Avoid using one word affiliate links such as click here.

In Closing

Affiliate marketing is an ideal way to monetize your blog. As a newbie it is more challenging to get qualified for affiliate programs. It’s best to seek programs more suitable for beginners to minimize rejection.

So there you have it, a small list of affiliate programs to get started on that you’ll qualify for easily. As your traffic increases you will be able to join more programs.

Remember, don’t fear rejection

Monitor your site because when your pageviews increase (typically 50,000 to 100,000 per month) you can join high-paying ad networks with that amount of traffic.  Mediavine or Raptive are examples of ad networks that pay vastly better than AdSense.
