Quick Cash With AirBnB
Back when there was no AirBnB, many young adults getting an apartment for the first time, had a roommate including me. I’ve had many of them, good and bad in my younger days. I love money and hate being broke so having someone to share the rent worked out well for me. There are pros and cons to having a roommate or tenant sharing your space. AirBnB has made the process simpler with short-term rentals for vacationers for example and you won’t be stuck forever with an obnoxious tenant. You can rent your vacation home. Find out about renting properties you don’t even own as well.
By the way, private rooms in your home are not the only things you can rent. You may only have one home, you’re living in it and don’t want to share space! I totally get it. Do you have a finished walkout basement with a bath and a kitchen? You would not have to interact with your temporary tenant.

A friend of mine rents out her pool regularly on Swimply. Rent your pool as often as you like for half an hour or more and get paid between 2 to 7 days later. It is totally fine for you to be home during rentals.

While we’re on the topic of rental, many years ago at the age of 24 my then-husband and I figured out that if we bought the three unit home that we were living in and renting, we could collect rent from the other 2 units, use it to pay the mortgage as well as expenses and live rent free. We accomplished that within 2 years. I was so happy not having to pay rent anymore and the tax advantages were superb.
